Due to COVID-19, vital records, including birth certificates, can be requested via mail only. Please follow the instructions listed below.

Birth Certificates

For people born in the State of Georgia, a Certified Birth Certificate may be obtained from any county in Georgia regardless of the county of birth.

Requirements

To obtain a certified copy of a Birth Certificate you must have a valid photo identification. If you are requesting the birth certificate of someone other than yourself, you must be able to prove your relationship to them.

Certified Birth Certificates may be requested in person or by mail. 

Fees

The fee is $25.00 for the first certified copy and $5.00 for any additional copies requested at the same time.

Request in Person

Probate Court Offices are located on the first floor of the Camden County Courthouse located at 210 East 4th Street in Woodbine. Certified Birth Certificates may be obtained from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for holidays.

Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, or Money Order may be used if paying in person.
