The Camden County Board of Elections & Registration (BoER) is pleased to announce a new opportunity for registered voters to request an Absentee Ballot for the November 3rd General Election.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger opened the Absentee Ballot Request portal in late August. On the new site, https://ballotrequest.sos.ga.gov, Georgia voters with a driver’s license or state ID card are able to request an absentee ballot completely online.
Absentee ballots cannot be sent to voters before September 15, 2020. The deadline to register to vote in the November 3rd General Election is Monday, October 5, 2020. Camden County residents may check their voter registration status or register to vote through the Georgia My Voter Page (MVP).
Voters age 65 and older, physically disabled, or living overseas, that have previously requested to do so this year, should receive an absentee ballot without having to make a new application.
The Camden County Board of Elections & Registration will provide Advance In-Person (Early) Voting for the November 3rd General Election beginning Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Specific times and locations will be announced soon.
All voters, through Advance In-Person or Election Day voting, will use Georgia’s new voting machines. The State Elections Division has created a website, https://securevotega.com, to share information and answer questions about the machines. Additionally, a video is available on the Board of Elections & Registration website at: www.camdencountyga.gov/vote.
