[ARCHIVED] Tina Ingles Achieves Georgia Fire Chief Certification

The Camden County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that Camden County Fire Rescue (CCFR) Battalion Chief Tina Ingles has achieved Georgia Fire Chief Certification from the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs.

“This is an important achievement and recognition for Chief Ingles,” said CCFR Chief Terry Smith. “Her certification demonstrates her professionalism and commitment to qualified leadership in the fire service.”

Applicants for the Georgia fire chief certification must meet four pre-requisites, including holding a Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council (GFSTC) State Certification in at least one of the current Fire Service Certifications and serving as a minimum of a battalion chief or division supervisor.

Applicants are also assessed on a point system that includes their years of service, higher education achievement, level of fire office certifications, and recognition for additional credentials.

Chief Ingles has worked for CCFR since July 1988 and currently serves as a Battalion Chief. With this achievement, she joins Chief Smith as one of the 238 fire officers across the state to reach this milestone.

“We are proud of Chief Ingles and her hard work to reach this challenging accomplishment,” said Camden County Board of Commissioners Chairman Gary Blount. “Camden County Fire Rescue provides qualified, credentialed, and professional leadership for residents and visitors to Camden County.”
