The Camden County Board of Elections & Registration (BoER) will hold two (2) Public Hearings on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Earlier this year the BoER created a New Precinct Opportunities Committee (NPOC) for the assessment and alteration of precinct lines and polling locations.
The NPOC seeks to better serve voters in varying precincts across Camden County by reviewing both underserved and overcrowded polling places. Meeting since June, the NPOC has developed a list of proposed changes for the public to review.
At the public hearing, staff will present the proposed changes to the current polling locations and precinct boundaries. Meeting participants will have the opportunity to discuss these proposed changes planned for 2024.The proposed precinct and polling location changes will impact voters currently in the Kingsland, North Kingsland, and Mush Bluff precincts.
The public hearings will take place at the following times and locations:
- 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2023 – St. Marys Church,101 Pine Street, St. Marys and
- 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2023 – Center for Industry & Commerce, 531 N. Lee Street, Kingsland.
