This selection was made by the Camden County Government Employee Recognition Committee after receiving nominations from Camden County employees.
Sgt. Thames’ co-workers highlighted his leadership abilities, community interaction, and work as a K-9 Handler as reasons for his recognition. Deputy Brad Marat shared, “He leads by example. Because of him, we have an entire shift of leaders and not just a supervisor and employees under him.”
Sgt. Thames has worked for the Camden County Sheriff’s Office for over ten years and currently serves as a sergeant in the Patrol Division. Additionally, he acts as part of the Camden County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit alongside K-9 Hannah, a six year-old bloodhound.
