[ARCHIVED] Public Notice: Presidential Preference Primary Postponed

The Camden County Board of Elections & Registration (BoER) will hold the Presidential Preference Primary with the May 19, 2020 General Primary Election, Nonpartisan General Election, and Special Election.

Advance In-Person (Early) Voting originally scheduled for March 16-20, 2020, in Woodbine and Kingsland, has been cancelled in light of the public health emergency posed by COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus. Early voting for the May 19, 2020 election will begin in late April.

All absentee ballots for the original election date that are received by March 24th will be accepted as normal and all votes already cast in person will be counted. All absentee ballot applications for the Presidential Preference Primary will continue to be processed as normal, and any provisional voters will have until the normal provisional deadline (March 27) to remedy any deficiency. Other provisional votes will be processed as normal. Every Georgia voter that has not yet had a chance to cast a ballot in the March 24 elections will be able to do so on May 19, 2020.

Voters who will be unable to vote in Camden County on Election Day, along with voters over age 65 and disabled voters, may request an absentee ballot application. Absentee ballot applications must be requested at least annually and interested voters should visit the BoER website, camdencountyga.gov/vote, or contact the office at 912-576-3245 for more information. Visit the Georgia My Voter Page (MVP) to view personalized election information.
